It was Autumn 2011 and I had discovered an app called Instagram. My Instagram feed of today doesn’t look like it did 6 years ago. Back then my handle was twentysevensomething. Every photo was circular, over edited with a horrendous candy coloured hue and contained some form of fake crap lightleak or bokeh effect. I even created my own hashtag ’27somethingcircleoflove’ (cringe).
One day whilst exploring the popular page (remember that), I came across a picture of a cup of coffee with an amazing sparkle effect that I just HAD to have! The photo taker was This is Jules (at the time she was @Julezwills) and boy was she up to date with the latest crap lightleak apps…. She instantly replied and the rest, as they say is history. Last month, whilst sipping champagne with baby spice at my first ever blogger party, I met Marie. A twenty something Midwife from Cornwall, who, at the age of 21, became one of the youngest midwives in the UK. After becoming a senior midwife, Marie found that many parents-to-be brought unnecessary items into hospital. I can’t quite remember all of the contents of my hospital bag but I do remember it contained the ‘essentials’ such as Jelly Babies, Salt & Vinegar Pringles and a 6 pack of Lucozade…Well that’s what Instagram told me to pack…. Organix Goodies, oh were do I start! If you read my blog you know that I have a lot of love for Organix Goodies. They are a staple item in my cupboard and obviously my changing bag. (My bag is practically filled with empty wrappers!)
Sebastian adores them and they are the perfect mid afternoon snack (especially when you’ve had a hard morning sitting in a pumpkin patch). Continue reading “Organix Goodies|| Great Taste • No Junk”
Well hello Autumn I have been waiting for you.
I adore Autumn. Burnt orange leaves, a slight chill in the air, pumpkin spiced lattes, darker evenings, autumnal boots and all the other typical clichés that are associated with this time of year.
Back in the summer we went fruit picking at Kenyon Hall Farm and I have been eagerly waiting for Autumn aka pumpkin season to arrive as I wanted an excuse to go back and pick a pumpkin. Continue reading “Day Tripping || Pumpkin Picking”
Fridays are for coffee dates || A flat white with a slice of cake…
I’ve been back at work now for one whole year! I honestly can’t believe it! I’m constantly telling people ‘I’ve just come back from maternity leave’ when in reality I haven’t.
I was off work for a mere 6 months! Crap isn’t it – but we bought a house… an old lady house to be more specific and well yeah, a mortgage and renovations don’t pay for themselves!
I may be back at work but i’ll forever have Fridays off (sorry boss) and on Fridays I have a coffee date with my two favourite men. A new tradition. Continue reading “Fridays are for coffee dates…”
