Christmas Gift Guide 2017 | Hers | Part One

It’s November which means it’s time to start getting ready for Christmas. I tell myself every year that I will ‘start early’ and I had big plans to buy gifts throughout the year. Not to be super organised but to spread the cost out instead of spending Decembers wage packet in one go.

Has that happened this year? No. Do I have a cupboard full of presents? Not one. Will I be spending Decembers wage packet in one go? More than likely.

For those like me that I have left it to the ‘last minute’ (surely November isn’t last minute I hear you say…. it sure is according to some of my Facebook friends who have already wrapped their presents!) Here’s part one of my Christmas Gift Guide for the special ladies in your life…

Percy & Reed

  • Percy & Reed Hair Care

A girl can NEVER have too many hair products although I have a confession to make…. I’ve neglected my hair these past 18 months. I am just not mentally prepared to dry it, style it or straighten it.

Percy & Reed’s No Fuss Fabulousness Dry Shampoo gives your hair a beautiful ‘just-washed’ look even if you haven’t the time to wash it. Their unique formulation soaks up excess oil and cleanses the scalp, leaving hair looking fresh, shiny and shimmering.  Perfect for a quick refresh at work or for a knackered mummy like me who needs 10 more minutes in bed #mumbun.

If you know that you will have a spare 10 minutes in the morning then Percy & Reed’s Perfectly Perfecting Wonder Overnight Recovery will work wonders overnight for you. It’s a leave-in treatment that absorbs instantly into dry hair, helping to nourish, rehydrate and repair dull, limp, lacklustre hair. All you do is shampoo it out in the morning. #salonreadyhairovernight.

Once you have washed off your overnight recovery a spray of Percy & Reed’s A Walk in the Rain Shine & Fragrance Mist will give your hair an extra divine shine.

Grace Emmerson

  • Dr. Hauschka Clarifying Clay Mask

I was first introduced to the Dr. Hauschka brand 5 years ago by my good friend Grace. She gave me a bottle of Moor Lavender Calming Bath Essence and I was hooked. I adore anything lavender scented. So much so that it was my go-to bath product throughout my entire pregnancy. I went through bottles of the stuff!

Any of the Dr. Hauschka range would be on my Christmas wish list but my favourite product at the moment is the Clarifying Clay Mask. It’s a brown clay powder that you mix with water. It deeply cleanses, invigorates and clarifies all skin conditions and effectively helps minimise blemishes and enlarged pores. I like to wear it in the bath when I have 10 minutes to myself. Obviously accompanied with an ice cold gin & tonic.

Based in Bristol, Grace specialises in Dr.Hauschka Treatments and Skin Care Products. From facials and foot massages to full back cleanses so if you fancy treating your special lady to a treatment for Christmas then get her booked in with Grace. (Gift vouchers are also available).

Seven Seventeen Candle

  • Seven Seventeen All the Love Candle

Ask anyone what their favourite candle scent is and I can guarantee that at least 3/4 will say black pomegranate. The all the love candle from Seven Seventeen has a modern, spicy, black pomegranate scent. Not too overpowering. It’s just right. Each candle is hand poured and finished with cotton wicks to prevent ugly black smoke. These classic candles are presented in recycled glass pharmacy jars and will look good on any mantelpiece.

Prices start at £14.00.

Lunar Moth Jewellery

  • Lunar Moth Jewellery

There’s something special about handmade jewellery. Each piece has its own unique characteristic, is loving (and painstakingly) made by hand and probably contains the blood, sweat, and tears of the craftsman.  Give me handmade over mass produced any day.

Lunar Moth Jewellery is lovingly made in Nottingham by British designer Puneet. Her designs are created with a contrasting nature in mind, from dramatic simplicity to bold femininity. My favourite piece from her collection is the Twin Necklace. Made from sterling silver the 2 interlinked circles showcase a hammered texture that reflects the light. It’s perfect to wear every day adding a bit of luxury to any outfit.

Prices in her necklace collection range from £20.00 – £35.00.

Little Green Home

  • Skin & Tonic London Calm Balm

What parent doesn’t need a little calm in their lives? As you know Sebastian hit the BIG eighteen-month milestone last month and in my eyes, he’s now a toddler. No more tiny baby! I can see the ‘terrible two’s’ slowly creeping in… mix that with being back at work 4 full days per week plus restless nights, it’s safe to say I’m feeling a little frazzled these days.

Skin & Tonic’s calm balm available from The Little Green Home uses Roman Chamomile, Lavender and Calendula oils to aid your skin and your mood in moments of stress helping to calm any frazzled nerves.  It can also be used pre-bed to help soothe you off to a deep sleep. This is without a doubt handbag essential for me.

Further information about The Little Green Home and Skin & Tonic can be found at littlegreenhome.co.uk

I hope you enjoyed PART ONE of my Christmas Gift Guide for HER. Stayed tuned for PART TWO along with a guide for KIDS.

This post is in collaboration with all of the brands featured and all products were kindly gifted to me for this blog post.  As always comments and photos are my own.

Happy Festive Shopping!
