Welcome to Toddlerhood

PacaPod Toddler Pod

Last weekend, before my very eyes, my baby suddenly became a toddler.

Bye bye Babyhood. The past 632 days have been a blast.

Since starting nursery last January I’ve seen my baby not only grow and develop into a walking, taking, mini-me but he’s become fiercely independent. With his ‘no’s’ and on the floor tantrums when he can’t have a third biscuit or (god forbid) when I haven’t packed enough snacks! He’s practically a teenager.

Last weekend we witnessed ‘the change’. The transition from baby to toddler. We day tripped over to Biddulph Grange Gardens and, after parking the car, decided for once not to take the pram but to strap on his Toddler Pod with reins and let him roam free!

The boy was in his element.Sometimes his little legs got away with him and he face planted the floor but hey, bruised knees are a sign of fun!

It was our first time at Biddulph Grange Gardens, a stunning National Trust Property located near Stoke-on-Trent.

The winding paths were full of Winter foliage and there was plenty of little nooks and crannies for Sebastian to explore.

There was a chill in the air so we didn’t spend too much time exploring.

After dusting off the cobwebs from the previous weeks coughs & colds with a brisk walk, we grabbed a much-needed snack pit stop.

Sebastian’s multifunctional Toddler Pod from PacaPod not only provides peace of mind with its safety reins but it also houses his much-needed snacks, refreshments, sticks, leaves, pebbles and toy cars… basically he can put whatever he wants into his little backpack. It can also clip onto Daddy’s PacaPod changing bag if required.

PacaPods Toddler Pods retail at £24.95 and an array of charming woodland creatures adorn the front of these backpacks from Fox & Babe and Badger & Babe to Owl & Babe. They are currently on pre-order and will be available from February. Order yours here.

Looking forward I think the pram will stay in the boot more often. The baby (I mean toddler) wants to run free!
