I think Sebastian has watched all Shrek Movies plus the Halloween and Christmas specials about 56,000 times. (I’m pretty confident that I could quote the entire first movie). When it came to picking a theme for his 2nd Birthday party it obviously had to be Shrek. We were hosting the party at home and with my Pinterest board fully pinned I decided on a blue, green and white colour scheme with just a hint of Ogre.
On the morning of the party I blew up what seemed like a million balloons from Candle and Cake. I opted for blue, green, white & clear latex balloon plus some extra special clear ones with blue & green confetti inside.
The dining room walls were decorated with a multicoloured tassel garland and lime green fun script balloon from Candle and Cake along with a gold Happy Birthday garland from Hobby Craft.
Food wise we got a selection of party platters from Marks & Spencer along with the usual buffet treats such as meats, cheeses and dips.
My friend Kerrie from The Cupped Cake makes the most delicious cakes and she baked Shrek cupcakes and matching cake based on some ideas I had seen on Pinterest. These were finished off with some personalised cake toppers which were handmade by Anna from Lucy Rose Party.
The sun was shining and 56 close friends and family filled our garden to celebrate Sebastians big day. Sebastian was an absolute dreamboat and wasn’t at all overwhelmed. He had a absolute blast.
Happy Birthday my darling boy.
