I love love love Sundays…lazy mornings followed by a long walk in the country or a trip into the city centre for a flat white or two and some food.

Sunday marked Alex’s 33rd Birthday and to celebrate we headed in our favourite city [Manchester] for some beer & burgers…

As an early ‘day of birth’ present Alex received a quirky unique watch from JORD.
JORD wood watches are handcrafted in the US from natural woods such as; Maple, Walnut, Bamboo, Koa, Zebrawood and Sandalwood. Alex’s is dark sandalwood and is from the Fieldcrest collection.

Alex likes to think he’s a bit of a hipster (#dadswithbeards and all that jazz) so this masculine but modern watch suits his style perfectly. Each link showcases different aspects of the deep brown grain and the black face has striking silver highlights. For such a chunky looking  watch the Fieldcrest is surprisingly light.

It’s also beautifully engraved with the date it was crafted on the back…this wooden watch was born on the tenth of February two thousand and seventeen in St Louis (insert heart emoji here).

We finished off Alex’s 33rd birthday celebrations by touring the city, drinking more beer, snapping some street art and capturing the day in a vintage photobooth – another perfect Sunday….

To add each JORD wooden watch comes in its own wooden box wrapped around a tweed pillow… oh my!!
