Yesterday we were lucky enough to have our names on the guest list for the HAPPY SUNDAZE event at The Wonder Inn hosted by the wonderful ladies from Our Kids Social.
The Wonder Inn was the perfect location for a ‘right old northern knees up with your nippers’ – from the outside it looks like a tiny old pub next to Shude Hill tram stop (blink and you’ll miss it) but on the inside it’s a leafy labyrinth of rooms and passageways, dimly lit with fairy lights providing the perfect magical atmosphere for young minds.
Spread over two floors there was a hidden gem in each room. Something for all ages.

Ground Floor:
The Cafe Bar: A place to eat, drink and chill
The Barn: Professor Jiggets Secret Tales (Story Telling)
The Loading Bay: Groovy Sensory Play and Ukuele drop in jammin sessions… Sebastian LOVES sensory play so this was ideal for him!

First Floor:
The Garden Room: Mucky Monster Club & Mud Kitchen
Sebastian was in his element! From mud and spaghetti to rice and slime…he attempted to eat everything in sight and spent most of the time carrying a plastic watering can around. The simple things hey!

Hallway: Silent Disco, Madchester murals / make do & mess, face painting and Everything sweet threads pop up shop.
At nearly 33 you think I would have been to a silent disco before…. erm nope! Just look at Sebastian’s face! Pure happiness! #ravingtothetrollssoundtrack

Ballroom: Bar for the grown ups (yippee), vinyl revival DJ and Disco Mums guest DJ slot…

…and you can’t have a ‘right old northern knees up’ and not have a dressing up box…

The Wonder Inn was packed and I mean packed! Everyone was dancing, the place was buzzing and it had an amazing atmosphere! It was a mini glasto for kids! We had an absolute blast! A right old northern knees up!
The next ‘social’ is a spooktacular one at Sale Masonic Hall – Fancy going? More info can be found here. We will see you there!
