I love love love Pinterest. You name it and I have probably pinned it. Did you know that Pinterest is a bloody brilliant tool for driving traffic to your blog? I have had a few pins that have literally gone ‘viral’ and now Pinterest is the number one social media platform that drives traffic to my blog. #MINDBLOWN.

This totally underrated social media platform should be EVERY bloggers best friend. Here’s why…

See that number under my name? Yes you read that correctly 96.7 THOUSAND monthly unique viewers. HOLY SHIT.

I really started to focus on ways to use Pinterest for my blog six months ago. Back in October my reach was on average 3 thousand monthly viewers, by December it had quadrupled to 12 thousand and March was a whopping 48 thousand!

But how do those figures covert into website views?

My most popular pin series on Pinterest is my ‘How to change the font in your Instagram bio’ blog post. I have pinned this at least a dozen times each with a different cover (created in Canva). The below pin has had 49.8K impressions with 824 clicks to my blog.

These pins drive traffic to my blog EVERY SINGLE DAY. In March, 1200 visitors came to my blog from Pinterest. How crazy is that!?

So lets get to it, the main reason you are here after all is how do I do it?

First off you need to be writing some shit hot content that the world wants to read. May it be about parenting, interiors, travel – there is a place for EVERYONE on Pinterest. If you don’t have a blog you can even pin your Instagram feed and drive people to your ‘gram instead.

Next up you want to get Canva downloaded on your phone. Here you can make scroll-stopping pin covers for your shit hot blog posts. Then comes the fun stuff…

PINNING!!

Pin till your hearts content. Pin your pins and MORE IMPORTANTLY pin other peoples pins – REPIN!! The more you pin the more you will grow and the more likely you pins will create traffic to your blog. If you can’t pin everyday then sign up to tailwind and schedule your pins. Yes you read that correctly. Tailwind will do all the hard work for you. Even better if you join a tribe on tailwind people will re-pin for you. #WINWIN
