Fridays are for coffee dates || A flat white with a slice of cake…
I’ve been back at work now for one whole year! I honestly can’t believe it! I’m constantly telling people ‘I’ve just come back from maternity leave’ when in reality I haven’t.
I was off work for a mere 6 months! Crap isn’t it – but we bought a house… an old lady house to be more specific and well yeah, a mortgage and renovations don’t pay for themselves!
I may be back at work but i’ll forever have Fridays off (sorry boss) and on Fridays I have a coffee date with my two favourite men. A new tradition.

Last Friday the sun made an appearance and even though there was an autumn chill in the air it felt more like spring. We found ourselves a new coffee shop to try and grabbing the table by the window we took full advantage of the autumn rays.
Over a flat white and a few slices of banana bread we chatted, laughed and people watched for an hour or two…

The morning soon passed and it was time for Alex to head off to work but not before we snapped a few photos in front of some good old Manchester street art…. (cos that’s what we do ya know).

The perfect coffee date….

In all seriousness the suns makes a VERY rare appearance here in the North West and you’ve got to take FULL advantage of it…even if it is a chilly October morning!
I’m forever wearing sunglasses and these Scout ones are my new FAVE… duck eggshell blue with a hint of lilac and brown! Oh my!
