It was inevitable. An iPhone plus a toddler was not a match made in heaven. I’d been a member of the iPhone club since 2008. I loved my iPhone but clearly not enough. I had no fancy ass phone cover and low & behold one day Sebastian dropped it. SMASH! Gutted was an understatement.
I had my eye on the iPhone X but jeeeeezzzzz it was expensive! Even on contract. One of my favourite Instagrammers, Tigerlilly Quinn, blogged about the Google Pixel and I was sold. I never thought I would swap to an Android phone. The Google Pixel 3 had literally just been released when my phone smashed. Coincidence?!
As an avid photo taker, the camera on my phone has to be top notch, you know the dogs bollocks. Something that, if I didn’t have my Lumix GX80 to hand, would take equally as good photos. The Pixel 3, excuse my french, is f**king a.m.a.z.i.n.g!
Selfies on the front camera are epic and with the added ‘depth of field’ function your images really POP. If your hands are full you can even ask Google to take a selfie for you!
There’s top shot, which automatically recommends the best pics, where no one is blinking, and everything looks just right PLUS there’s no need to use the flash in moodier lighting!
As you can tell all these images are edited, I do all my editing in the VSCO app or Adobe Lightroom on the Pixel 3 and the ‘blurred’ background is courtesy of the Pixel 3’s portrait mode.
